We’re Lori and Angelo — foodies and second generation Italian-Americans — and our love for Italy and Italian food knows no bounds.

Our families both came to the United States from southern Italy during the Great Emigration around 1900 — Lori’s family from Naples (Campania) and Roseto Valfortore (Apulia), and Angelo’s from Naples and Siracusa, Sicily.
To us, food transcends simple nourishment. Food is love, and the memories you create with family. It is the ultimate marriage of creative expression and emotional connection.
Nowhere is this more evident than in Italy where it’s all about slow food and slow travel. There’s no better way to experience the regional cultures of Italy than through food.
Who Are We?
Are we professional eaters and gourmands? No. And we’re not a tour company either, although we can help you plan your trip. We are a travel writer and photographer team who have been traveling the world together for over 30 years — and slow traveling Italy for the past decade.
We share our best recommendations for food travel in Italy so you can plan your own independent travel and even make it all about food!
